QuoteLink Menu Manager: Rules Conditions Overview

Rule structures are made up of Conditions and Effects. At minimum, your rule must have conditions specifying the vehicle make and the job type. (Click here for more information about adding effects to rules.)

To create conditions:

1. Click the Menu Manager tab.
2. The List Rules tab will show all the rules that have been created by your dealership. Click the Edit Rule Basics icon () for the rule you wish to update.
3. Click the Rule Structure tab.
4. Click the drop-down box to select the vehicle make.
   
5. To add the job type, click the magnifying glass icon () and then select the job from the Content Search box. (Click + to expand the categories.)
   
6. To add additional conditions, click the Add icon ().
7. Select the new Condition from the drop-down list.
   
8. Depending on the condition, you may need to select or add other information using the drop-down list or the magnifying glass icon (). Note: Some conditions can be excluded instead of included by selecting is not from the drop-down list.
   
9. Once you have added all your Conditions, you will need to apply the Effects. (Click here for more information.)

Note: To delete a condition, click the delete icon ().

Condition	Description
the vehicle make (required)	Select the vehicle make.
the job type (required)	Jobs appear in the Content Search box. Expand categories by clicking on the "+" until you find the specific job. Example: Expand the highest level category "Brakes" until you reach the specific job type "Remove & Replace O.E. Rear, Right Hand Side."
the vehicle model	The vehicle model drop-down list will be limited by the vehicle make you've selected. Click on the correct one.
the vehicle modelyear from	The vehicle modelyear from drop-down list will be limited by the vehicle make you've selected. Example: Your selection of "2013" will apply the rule to only 2013 models and newer. Combine this condition with the vehicle modelyear to to select a range of model years. Example: Set the vehicle modelyear from "2013" and the vehicle modelyear to to "2016" to limit the rule to models from 2014 through 2016.
the vehicle modelyear to	The vehicle modelyear to drop-down list will be limited by the vehicle make you've selected. Example: Your selection of "2016" will apply the rule to only 2016 models and older.  Combine this condition with the vehicle modelyear from to select a range of model years. Example: Set the vehicle modelyear from "2013" and the vehicle modelyear to to "2016" to limit the rule to models from 2013 through 2016.
the vehicle is older than	Apply the rule only to vehicles older than the year and month combination you select.  Combine this condition with the vehicle is younger than to select a range of vehicle age. Example: Set the vehicle is older than "1 year" and the vehicle is younger than "5 years" to limit the rule to models to that age range. The selection of vehicles will be updated as time passes.
the vehicle is younger than	Apply the rule only to vehicles younger than the year and month combination you select.  Combine this condition with the vehicle is younger than to select a range of vehicle age. Example: Set the vehicle is older than "1 year" and the vehicle is younger than "5 years" to limit the rule to models to that age range. The selection of vehicles will be updated as time passes.
the vehicle engine code	The vehicle engine code drop-down list will be limited by the vehicle make and model you've selected. Click on the correct one.
the vehicle fuel type	The vehicle fuel type drop-down list will be limited by the vehicle make and model you've selected. Click on the correct one.
the OE part number	Enter the OE part number or search criteria in the part number box and click the magnifying glass icon to find the part number in the Content Search box.
the OE labour code	Enter the OE labour code or search criteria in the labour code box and click the magnifying glass icon to find the labour code in the Content Search box.
the generic part number	Enter the generic part number or search criteria in the generic part number box and click the magnifying glass icon to find the generic part number in the Content Search box.  Note: Stellantis will be using the default generic part throughout; therefore, this condition will not be used.
