For example, Job A has a retail labour rate of £100, and a part price of £10 (Retail) and £1 (Cost).

Retail Minus: With 10% on Labour and 10% on Parts

  • Retail Labour Rate - % on LAbour = £100 - 10% = £90
  • Retail Part Cost - % on Parts = £10 - 10% = £9
  • Total = £99

Cost Plus: With 10% on Labour and 10% on Parts

  • Retail Labour Rate - 10% on Labour = £100 - 10% = £90
  • Part Cost + % on Parts = £1 + 10% = £1.10
  • Total = £91.10

Uplifting Prices using Retail Minus: With -10% on Labour and -10% on Parts

  • Retail Labour Rate - % on Labour = £100 - (-10%) = £110
  • Retail Part Cost - % on Parts = £10 - (-10%) = £11
  • Total = £121
