Adding a Local Part

Use the Generic Parts tab to add local parts that you recommend. You can add, delete, and update these local parts as needed through this tab.

Notes:

  • Manufacturer Parts are recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. These parts cannot be added, removed, or edited. 
  • Market Local Parts are recommended by the National Sales Company (NSC). These parts cannot be added, removed, or edited. 
  • If this tab is not available, you do not have administrator rights. If needed, contact your Global Connect administrator or RIT coordinator to upgrade your role. 

To add a local part: 

  1. Click the Administration tab.
  2. Click the Generic Parts tab.
  3. Choose the appropriate part from the Please select a LocalPart drop-down menu.

  4. Fill in the provided fields to add the part.
    5123_EN2.jpg: Fill in the provided fields to add the part.
    Options include: 
    • Quantity
    • Description
    • Part No.
    • Cost Excl. Tax (p. Part/Ltr)
    • Retail Excl. Tax (p. Part/Ltr)
    • Tax Band
  5. When ready, click Save.
